Truck Art

A unique form of art that originated in Pakistan is known as Truck Art. The transportation industry in Pakistan mainly consists of goods trucks which  are found on every road and highway from the extreme north of the country to the south. The truckers traditionally decorate their trucks with vibrant colors, murals depicting local folk lore, banners and slogans, and every type of decorative material that can be found. This trend has been copied by the smaller vehicles such as tractor trollies and auto rickshaws and its popularity has created a whole new genre of art.

The gallery has some examples of Truck Art as captured by a renowned photographer/artist Waseem Syed. The social media links below the gallery offer a visual treat though his Instagram and Facebook pages.
